A NOTTINGHAM property consultancy has helped secure a major property deal involving a law firm across the border in Leicestershire.

FHP’s Noel Roper worked with Lambert Smith Hampton on letting more than 13,000 sq ft of office space to law firm Howes Percival.

The lawyers have taken a 10-year lease on Unit 3 at The Osiers, at Meridian Business Park, just off junction 21 of the M1 motorway.

FHP and LSH acted on behalf of Nottingham-based Bassi Properties, which acquired Unit 3 at auction to add to a portfolio that already includes the neighbouring property.

Noel Roper said: “After considering a number of options available to them, we believe that Howes Percival was attracted to Osiers due to the building’s unique qualities.

“This is a high-quality, self-contained building, suitable for the company’s headquarters, with excellent car parking facilities and links to the motorway, yet set within a quiet location.”

Over the past few years, Bassi Properties has expanded considerably. Recent purchases include the former Vernon Arms pub, on Forest Road East, Nottingham, let to Sainsbury’s, and Staples, in Huntingdon Street. Other investments include a self-contained office building at Europa Business Park, Sheffield.

Managing director Avinash Bassi said: “Unit 3 is our second purchase in the thriving Meridian Business Park, which has been let to a strong covenant. Additionally, the fully refurbished building is in an excellent location to our existing commercial property. Working with FHP and LSH proved to be beneficial to all.”
